SearchAmerica, a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for automated charity processing and demographic validation, is honoring eight

health systems by inducting them into the SearchAmerica Best Practices Hall of Fame.

Each year, the award honors health systems that have experienced enhanced efficiencies, implemented innovative best practices, and recognized a significant ROI from using SearchAmerica's solutions and recommended best practices.

This year's recipients join existing Hall of Fame award winners, including Centura Health, OSF Healthcare System, Parkland Health & Hospital System, and UHS. The 2008 entrants into the Hall of Fame include the following winners in the Best Practices category:

- Integris Health for workflow redesign that resulted in payment received prior to going to a collection agency in 98 percent of accounts.- The Methodist Hospital for resolving a significant degree of accrued bad debt and properly classifying in excess of $20M to charity.- Novant Healthcare for reducing its bad debt by 50 percent and reducing its charity enrollment processing time by 90 percent.- Resurrection Healthcare for improving Emergency Department Point of Service collection by 250 percent.- SSM Healthcare for continued advances in leveraging SearchAmerica solutions into its processes and substantiating their mission in the community.

According to a release, the extensive financial information that SearchAmerica provides, combined with a facility's accounts receivable data, provides a new level of analysis that has been difficult for hospitals to obtain. The combination of registration and payment outcomes data information enables organizations to better understand their patient population, and better forecast charity and bad debt for budgeting purposes. The following health systems are being honored as they demonstrate a strong commitment to revenue cycle improvement using metrics from SearchAmerica's new Predictive Intelligence Dashboard:

- Northside Hospital- St. Raphael's Hospital- Sutter Delta Medical Center

"We are pleased to honor these outstanding health systems who have demonstrated a commitment to improving revenue cycles using the latest technology and best practices from SearchAmerica," Daniel Johnson, President and CEO of SearchAmerica. "These organizations exemplify the innovative spirit and commitment to excellence that is truly admired by its patients and industry. SearchAmerica is pleased to be a part of your success."
