Ray Wilson has been hired by Mercedes-Benz of Eugene as preowned sales manager. Wilson has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry.

Dr. Richard Barnhart, an internal medicine specialist, has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group's

Hilyard Street clinic and is in practice as a hospitalist at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Barnhart was previously in a private internal medicine practice in Springfield for more than 20 years.

Michael Pendergrass has been hired by Oregon Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America, in Eugene as the district executive for East Lane County, which includes Springfield, Creswell and Cottage Grove.

Ronald Smith, an orthopedic physician assistant, has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group's orthopedics department at the Downtown Eugene clinic. Smith previously worked at Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Salem.

Dr. Andrew Adamich, an optometric physician, has joined Dr. Carol Marusich at Lifetime Eye Care in Eugene. Adamich previously served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as Optometry Clinical Director at Little Rock AFB in Arkansas and as Optometry Element Chief for Aerospace Medicine at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska.

VersaLogic Corp. in Eugene has hired Preston Barrett as an account manager and Randy Miles as materials manager. Barrett previously worked as business development manager at Sarnoff Imaging, in Princeton N.J. Miles previously worked in the corporate purchasing group at Levi Strauss & Co.

NEWOOD Display Fixture Manufacturing Co. in Eugene received the Lane Council of Governments Regional Award of Merit for Economic Enhancement from Lane Metro Partnership. NEWOOD produces standard and custom retail display fixtures such as shelving for clothing outlets and wine cabinets for liquor and grocery stores.

Sweet Cheeks Winery of Eugene received the following awards in the WinePress Northwest 2007 Platinum Judging: a platinum medal for the 2006 Estate Riesling, a double gold medal for the 2006 Estate Pinot Gris, and a gold medal for the 2006 Dry Riesling.

The following officers have been elected to the board of Community Veterinary Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to establish a full-service veterinary clinic for no- and low-income clients: president, Diana Huntington, Eugene School District 4J; vice president, Janetta Over-holser, Humane Society of Cottage Grove; secretary, Beth Goodman, ECONorthwest; and treasurer, Jackie Rice, PeaceHealth. The following new board members were elected: Michelle Kenna, Cottage Grove veterinarian; Sean Kenna, educator; Jodi Wiktorowski, Eugene veterinarian; and Lisa Williams, social worker.
