VASCULAR LAUNCHES 6F LANGSTON DUAL LUMEN CATHETERS.

Vascular Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:VASC), Minneapolis, has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and is launching immediately through its direct U.S. sales force the 6 French size of the Langston(TM) dual lumen catheters. The Langston catheters are two-lumen diagnostic

catheters indicated for use in the simultaneous measurement of pressures from two locations in the arterial system. The catheters come in three tip configurations -- pigtail, multipurpose and straight selective -- for a variety of procedural needs. The original 8F size of the Langston catheter was launched in September 2004 and the 7F size was launched in May 2005.

"This new 6 French size of the Langston catheters has been heavily requested by our physician customers, with the benefit that the new size now deploys through the most commonly used introducer sheaths," commented Howard Root, CEO of Vascular Solutions. "At the same time, the 6 French size still provides the Langston's completely unique clinical feature of simultaneous accuracy and precise responsiveness in measuring intra-arterial pressure gradients. We estimate that the market potential of the Langston catheters is over $5 million annually, and that the new 6 French size will allow our direct sales force to rapidly expand our sales of the Langston catheters during the remainder of 2005 and into 2006," Root added.
