Partnerre Ltd.

Bermuda-based PARTNERRE LTD. has tapped 14-year reinsurance veteran EMMANUEL CLARKE to head PartnerRe Global's specialty lines division, succeeding KURT ANGST, who is set to retire in December after a 40-year career.

Currently the head of property/ casualty for PartnerRe Global, Clarke

will assume his new position Sept. 1. He will work with Angst during a transition period that will last through the end of the year.

Six-year PartnerRe vet ALAIN FLANDRIN, who currently leads the France/Benelux/Canada team for the Global P&C unit, will succeed Clark as head of global property/casualty. Flandrin's team will include SCOTT ALTSTADT, currently chief pricing actuary for global property/casualty, who will continue in his current role and assume the new position of deputy head of global property/casualty.

PATRICK CHEVREL, currently senior underwriter for the Netherlands, will replace Flandrin as head of P&C France/Benelux. Francis Blumberg will be appointed to the new position of head of P&C Canada.
