Digital Rights Management (DRM) Client will provide multimedia content security for Motorola's latest mobile handset, the MOTO Z8.

The MOTO Z8, now available with select wireless operators in Europe, is a remarkable combination of communications and entertainment, incorporating crystal clear video playback and hi-fi audio quality into a groundbreaking "kick slider" form factor, featuring a graceful mechanism that achieves a "fit-to-face" profile by gliding open in a curve to match the contour of your face.

Discretix' Multi-Scheme DRM Client, integrated into the Symbian operating system and UIQ Application Framework, is considered to be one of the most advanced embedded DRM solutions on the market today. A key enabling technology for mobile content distribution, DRM allows copyright-protected content to be easily and legally accessed. Discretix said its Multi-Scheme DRM Client future-proofs OEMs against new DRM schemes that may become available and is compliant with OMTP requirements for hardware-based security.
