The employees of Oki Data Americas, a printer manufacturer, are supporting the Brooklyn HOGS Second

Annual Breast Cancer Ride to Live on October 11th at KeySpan Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Last October, Oki Data Americas supported the Ride to Live event for its inaugural year with the Color Me Oki philanthropic program and continues it's support this year providing the 1950's Automotive Classic, 1959 Pink Cadillac Convertible so that attendees can receive commemorative photos with the vintage vehicle as The Angeltones perform songs from the Motown era in exchange for donations benefiting the Maimonides Cancer Center. The restored Cadillac symbolizes the process women must go through when rebuilding their mind, body and souls after battling breast cancer.

According to a release, the Brooklyn HOGS Second Annual Breast Cancer Ride to Live is presented by Maimonides Medical Center, in partnership with Brooklyn Harley-Davidson and The Brooklyn Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. Hundreds of motorcyclists are involved to raise money and partake in a scenic motorcycle ride from Brooklyn Harley-Davidson to KeySpan Park, where they will enjoy a barbecue with live music, sponsor tables and other exciting activities. All net proceeds from the benefit will go to support the Brooklyn Breast Cancer Program at Maimonides Cancer Center, led by world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Patrick I. Borgen. The Center, which is Brooklyn's first and only dedicated cancer center, provides mammography, sonography, stereotactic and ultrasound guided procedures, radiation, chemotherapy, surgery and clinical trials for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

"The Pink Cadillac helps us attract attention to the research and treatment needs in battling breast cancer," said Dr. Borgen. "I salute the employees of Oki Data Americas for their dedication to this cause and for their contributions to the research needed to conquer this disease."

The Color Me Oki philanthropic program pairs vintage cars with live entertainment to help support and celebrate the strong women, family and friends that are fighting breast cancer. The personal program stays true to the company's passion for customer intimacy, which it does by engaging with customers on a one-on-one basis to understand their needs. Oki Data Americas, a printer manufacturers in the U.S., goes beyond traditional service to develop long term partnerships with each customer and make them feel like customers again.

"The Maimonides Cancer Center is a staple in the Brooklyn community and is known for its superior level of patient care and its world-renown doctors that are committed to the fight against breast cancer," said Stewart Krentzman, President and CEO of Oki Data Americas. "The employees and I will continue our support of this institution as we share the same passion and dedication to the cause and it is our hope that the Color Me Oki experience will help bring an element of joy and celebration and provide memories to those who are participating to help eradicate this disease."

The program supports the corporate philanthropic mission of Oki Electric Industry Company, the Tokyo, Japan-based parent company of Oki Data , which is to undertake social contribution activities that help realize the genuine enrichment of society, and contribute to the quality of life for people around the world.
