Philippine Society of Emergency Care Physicians holds its 13th Annual Convention.
EMERGENCY medicine is a branch of medicine undertaken in hospital emergency departments and other locations where initial medical treatment of illness takes place. This field focuses on rapid assessment, decisions, and intervention on acute illnesses and injuries that require immediate care.
Through the years, the PSECP has conducted scientific meetings and conventions. This year, its 13th Annual Convention is being held on November 910 with the theme "Emergency Care: Rated PG (Practice Guidelines)." The convention will discuss the emergency medical management of stroke, abdominal pain, pediatric seizures, pediatric rashes, and other important clinical problems. Participants will be given updates on basic life support and advanced cardiac life-support, cranial CT interpretation, focused abdominal sonography for trauma (FAST), transcutaneous pacing and rapid sequence intubation, and handling emergency department complaints.
