Ashland Chemical Co has acquired General Fiberglass a distributor of fibre-glass reinforced plastics (FRP) and cast polymers.

According to its new owner, General Fiberglass sells in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Ohio, USA, and has its headquarters in Pewaukee,

The purchase continues Ashland Chemical's expansion in the American Midwest and provides the company with four more North American stock locations: Elkhart, Indiana; Lakeville, Minnesota; Pewaukee, Wisconsin; LaGrange, Ohio.

Ashland Chemical describes its FRP Supply Division as the leading distributor of resins, reinforcements and tooling equipment to the FRP and cast polymer industries in North America. With the acquisition of General Fiberglass, FRP Supply can now ship from more than 55 locations in North America.
