The SCC's continuing education courses scheduled for October will cover REACH and color cosmetics. Both events will be held at the Sheraton Newark Airport hotel in Newark, NJ.

"REACH-A Step by Step Guide," which will be held Oct. 2, offers a step-by-step review of European Community chemical

"The Chemistry & Formulations of Color Cosmetics" course will be held Oct. 15-16. The course will cover key aspects, novel alternatives, trends and technologies of ingredients used to create differentiated moisturizing and emolliency in products for the consumer. The instructors are Jane Hollenberg, a consultant the industry who was most recently technical director at Rona, and Edwin Faulkner, who is director of business development for the colors group of Sun Chemical.
